My name is Lauren Shission, and I am a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserves and a proud Paralegal and Legal Assistant at Ward Law, LLC. I commissioned in May of 2021, and I currently serve as a company commander out of Trenton, NJ. I’m honored to follow in the footsteps of my brothers and sisters in arms who served before me and paved the way for my journey in both my military and civilian life.
On this Veteran’s Day, Ward Law joins me in remembering and honoring the courageous men and women who have served our nation, securing the freedoms and rights we hold dear. To all veterans and their families who have sacrificed so much—thank you. Your dedication, resilience, and service inspire us daily, both at home and on the job.
I am grateful for the support of my Ward Law team as I balance my duties in the Reserves with my role here. Their encouragement means so much to me and reflects their ongoing commitment to veterans and active service members. From distant battlefields to moments of peace, each veteran has served with honor, strengthening our nation and our communities with their courage.
Thank you to those who have left their families, homes, and comforts to serve and continue serving their communities upon returning. Today, we honor your journey and pledge to live in ways worthy of your sacrifice.
